Kent and Shawnee Sorenson are the proud owners of Clean Des Moines, Inc., a company dedicated to serving the community with exceptional commercial cleaning services. Their journey in the industry spans a lifetime, starting with Kent’s childhood, when he watched his father manage a successful cleaning business. This early exposure instilled in Kent a deep understanding and passion for the industry.
Kent’s focus on customer service is unwavering. He finds great joy in receiving positive feedback from satisfied clients, always striving to exceed their expectations. Married to Shawnee since 1989, Kent and Shawnee have built a strong family foundation with their six children and multiple grandchildren.
After dedicating over 30 years to being a homemaker and homeschooling their children, Shawnee decided to join the family business. Her contribution was quickly recognized as invaluable by Kent, highlighting the essential role she plays in their shared venture.
The Sorensons are not just business partners but also enthusiastic Kansas City Chiefs fans and hobby farmers. They cherish their time on their family acreage, raising grass-fed cattle and enjoying the bounty of fresh, healthy food produced on their homestead. Their love for family and community is evident in every aspect of their lives, from their professional endeavors to their personal interests.
Together, Kent and Shawnee bring a wealth of knowledge, dedication, and family values to Clean Des Moines, Inc., ensuring that every client receives the highest quality service.
Meet Maddie
You will find Maddie on the residential side of things. Maddie’s been in the cleaning industry for 8 years. After working for her sister-in-law for a couple of years, she ventured out on her own and took the leap to start her own business where she’s had the privilege of cleaning hundreds of houses in the Des Moines metro area. Blessed with good people and building trustworthy crews, Maddie had an incredible opportunity to join forces with Clean Des Moines and merge their companies to bring further growth and service to Des Moines and the surrounding areas. Outside of cleaning, Maddie enjoys baking sourdough bread, teaching yoga, or spending quality time with her family on many adventures. Maddie is looking forward to meeting and helping to lighten others’ work at home so they too can spend more time doing what they enjoy!
Meet Mark
Mark, joined Clean Des Moines about 5 years ago and has been in various positions. His ability to communicate with customers about issues and problem-solving shone through, and now he is a regular face of Clean Des Moines while getting out and doing inspections. Despite his busy work schedule, Mark never lets it get in the way of spending quality time with his loved ones. His wife Makala, and their six children are his number one priority when he isn’t working, and he takes great joy in bonding with them over activities like cooking and working on Makala’s never-ending honey-do list. Whether it’s helping his kids with their homework, playing board games together, or simply having a family movie night, Mark always puts his family first.
Meet Ruth
Ruth Cordero is the office manager at Clean Des Moines. Ruth Spends most of her time managing payroll, scheduling jobs, keeping track of supplies and is the first contact with customers. Ruth enjoys her time working for Clean Des Moines and has formed friendships with employees. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family doing outdoor activities.
